Well, it certainly has been a while since I last posted a summary of our gaming sessions. I’ll need to quickly see where we ended the last one…
Hmmm, well. In the last session, our “heroes” Caranthir and Halmir traveled to the Iron Hills in the company of some dwarves, and returned to Erabor just in time to spend Dragontide in Lake-Town.
So. Onward to the next adventure!

In hindsight, the station in the opening cutscene isn’t that impressive, even for the Quake 3 engine. I still think it looks nice though.

A while ago, I read my sister’s post on soda ingredients, and that got me thinking. It would be nice to some fizzy drink that’s not full of sodium and corn syrup, but I’m not really looking for an expensive and specialized appliance like a SodaStream, and using club soda is just cheating. I have previously gotten great enjoyment out of making naturally-carbonated root beer and sarsaparilla, so I said “How hard could it be to use those same techniques to make an all-natural fruit soda? Well, as it turns out; pretty hard, but maybe not in the way you would expect.

Since I posted my first steps in Kerbal Space Program, I’ve been very…industrious. I began with a simple orbital docking maneuver. Then I moved on to a less simple one. Before I knew it I was spending hours trying to line up two massive space station modules and gently bring them together while they were both hurtling around the planet at over a two thousand meters per second.
This isn’t so hard.

Oh, Ensign Franklin, truly you were the best of us. I will always remember your generic face and one-dimensional character. A hundred years from now, people will repeat that thing you said that one time or something, and tell each other how you were not obviously the redshirt whose only purpose was to immediately die and show everyone how serious the situation is.
